Posting this, not because of any validity to the rumor, but because I think Thor would be the biggest shipper of Loki with Darcy in the MCU. “The maiden who used sorcery to capture my likeness for the book of faces makes my brother happy? And when he’s with her he doesn’t want to take over civilizations? VERILY, THESE BE MOST GLAD TIDINGS!”
gotta reblog that comment
We immediately got on. We both had the same sense of humor, and there must be something in Australian and English schools that er, this thing of basically ribbing each other - basically taking the piss out of each other all the time. All about mutual ridicule and mutual mockery, but also with an undercurrent of a lot of admiration and respect.
Oh wow. I drew Jane!
Loki x Darcy Fairytale Challenge — Beauty and the Beast.
Everything about the man was like ice. His features are passive and stone cold. His eyes reminded Darcy of small round ice cubes, and his stare seemed to freeze her in place. In fact, the room grew increasingly cold the moment he stepped foot in it.
Who are you? She wonders not being able to take her eyes off of him. There was something… enchanting about this cold cold man.
“Loki,” Thor’s deep and booming voice snaps Darcy out of it, and she watches the mass that is Thor approach the man that plans to commence the biggest war in earth’s history.
Thor immediately stills at the icy stare he receives from the man he still considers a brother. It’s been so long since he’s seen his little brother. They had been just adolescents when Loki disappeared, and Thor had been told lies of him trying to murder their father. He refused to believe Loki would do such a thing, even if he was truly a Frost Giant. Yet now Loki seems like a stranger to him and it’s hard for Thor to form coherent words. “Brother, I—”
“I am not your brother.” Loki interrupts practically hissing.
Thor has been told by so many others that Loki was not truly his brother, but he was able to ignore all of them. Not one of them understood the bond they had. He never thought Loki would ever tell him that they were not brothers and it hurts. But he can’t let it end this way. He can’t let him feel alone and he can’t let him destroy this earth.
“I do not care, Loki. I do not care if you are a Frost Giant. I do not care what anyone says. You are my brother!” Thor tells him desperately, hoping that Loki will see reason. That he will end all of this madness.
But Loki scoffs and gives a disgusted look. “That is all fine and well, Thor, but if you wish to end this little war there is only one thing you can do.”
Thor fears the worst and he panics. “Brother, I will not kill you!”
The laugh that erupts from Loki causes Thor to take a step away from him, Jane and Darcy in the background jump at the sudden sound. How can his laughter even sound so cold? Darcy wonders.
“Oh you pathetic Asgardian prince,” the words came out with venom despite the mirth in his eyes. “you could not kill me even if you tried. What I want is not death.”
A sinking feeling hits Thor like a ton of bricks. Oh how he wishes they could go back to when they were young and happy and carefree. But Thor begins to realize now that they are truly enemies, torn apart by a lifetime war between Asgard and Jotunheim. He had almost forgotten that Loki is now king of that icy wasteland.
“What is it that you want, bro—Loki?” Thor asks solemnly.
Loki gives a sinister grin and then something strange happens. His pale skin begins to melt away and there’s a stunned silence in the room as that creamy white skin his replaced with a dark blue, and those icy eyes turn into a bloody red. “Give me her.” He replies darkly after he’s completely changed into his true form, and he nods to what is behind Thor.
Darcy and Thor look over to Jane. The color has drained from the poor astrophysicist’s face, she’s practically shaking, and she looks as if she’s about to faint. Darcy takes Jane’s hand trying to soothe her.
Thor looks back at Loki fiercely. “You cannot have Jane!” He practically growls out.
Loki rolls his eyes. “Not her. The other one.” He says eyeing Darcy like she’s a piece of meat.
Jane’s hand tightens around her assistants.
Darcy’s eyes are wide and her mouth agape when she realizes what he means. Oh my God, he means me! He wants to take me?
Thor stares at Darcy with eyes just as wide as hers. The first time Thor met Darcy Lewis, she tased him. He had barely felt it, but from that moment he knew that she was brave and a fighter. Darcy taught him much of this modern Midgard. She introduced him to the delicious beverage known as coffee. She taught him how to use an iPhone. She taught him how to properly prank someone here in Midgard. She showed him the good and bad music of Midgard. They may not seem like important things, but they helped him get by as he became homesick. She’s the little sister he never had. Sweet, brave, funny little Darcy. That’s who Loki wants?
Thor looks back at the man who was once his brother, still his brother. It’s hardly his brother anymore beneath that blue skin. “Loki, you cannot—”
“I’ll go with you.”
Thor swiftly looks back at Darcy whose eyes are suddenly determined. He understands what she’s doing. He understands what it’s like to sacrifice yourself for your home.
“No, Darcy!” Jane exclaims taking hold of her best friend’s arms. “You don’t have to do this. You don’t!”
“Actually,” Loki pipes in with a grin. “She does.”
Darcy sends him a glare before turning back to Jane. “It’s okay, Jane. Everything’s gonna be okay.” She says giving Jane a hug. She reluctantly let’s go, gives Jane one last smile, and then heads over to Thor. He looks down at her with sad eyes. “Take care of Jane. Take care of all of them.” She begs him and he can’t refuse her.
“I will, Darcy. I promise I will.” He takes her into his arms and holds her tight. Darcy allows just one tear. Just one.
“Enough of that now.” Loki interrupts yet again. Thor puts Darcy down, pets her hair once, and he tries to give her an encouraging smile. She tries to give one back before turning towards Loki, her features returning to a defiant one. “Are you ready for forever?” He asks with a grin still on his face.
Her eyes narrow slightly. “You betcha.” She replies coldly.
His red eyes dance with mischief as he takes her arm in a surprisingly gentle matter. He leans down close to her ear, his skin and breath freezing and sending a chill up her spine. “Good.”
And then they disappear from the room in a flash.
Loki: Thor, I come with a message.
Thor: Brother. I cannot allow your attacks upon Midgard to continue.
Thor: Then… you’ll come home, brother?
Loki: Nothing so simple as that. I will be taking… I believe the mortals call it Maternity leave.
Thor: …I don’t understand.
Loki: I am burdened with a glorious pregnancy!
Thor: But who…
Darcy: I’mma be a dad!
Thor: How does that work? I don’t even…
